Alliances

An alliance is formed when organisations work together in partnership to deliver a project.

The SIHIP alliance model of business working together with governments and the community heralds a new approach for government in delivering major housing works in the Northern Territory.

Three construction company consortia known as alliances have been engaged to deliver the program.

The three alliances are:
Earth Connect Alliance
Canstruct
WorleyParsons Services
Force 10 International
Greene & Associates
Ostwald Brothers

New Future Alliance
Leighton Contractors
Broad Construction Services
Opus Qantec McWilliam
Ngarda Civil and Mining

Territory Alliance
Sitzler Pty Ltd
Laing O’Rourke Construction Pty Ltd
McMahon Services
ESS Compass Group

Key features
Each alliance will design and construct housing works packages with an emphasis on building durable houses at a reasonable cost.  Specific targets for employment and training of Indigenous people will be negotiated with performance-related financial incentives and penalties.

A target of 20 per cent has been set for Indigenous employment across the program.  Alliances are also looking to sub contract and use local companies that can provide services at a competitive cost, placing a priority on the use of local Indigenous companies.
