Remote Housing NT

Living in remote housing

The new system of remote housing means there is more support available to help remote housing tenants look after their homes.

The tenancy agreement sets out your rights and responsibilities, and that of the Department of Housing. The Tenancy Handbook, provided at the commencement of your tenancy also outlines your responsibilities as well as helpful hints about living in remote housing.

We also have a tenancy support program to help you manage your tenancy. As a tenant you must be a good neighbour.  If you have concerns with anti-social behaviour or alcohol management in public housing, contact your local housing officer.

Your Housing Reference Group will be asked to provide advice prior to the commencement of any actions to terminate a tenancy.
