Public housing

Being a good neighbour

Everyone is entitled to the quiet enjoyment of their home.

Territory Housing takes complaints of noise and nuisance seriously and will offer advice and act upon all complaints against public housing tenants.

Territory Housing can only act in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act. In some cases other agencies or organisations have the power to deal with complaints and therefore these complaints should be referred to police, community mediation providers or other support services.

What are my responsibilities as a good neighbour?

  • respect your neighbours
  • allow for reasonable peace, quiet and enjoyment in the neighbourhood
  • ensure that your behaviour does not have a negative impact on your neighbours
  • be responsible for your visitors.

If you have a complaint contact Territory Housing.
