Government Employee Housing


Government Employee Housing (GEH) is a service through Territory Housing that provides accommodation for eligible Northern Territory Government employees. Eligibility is determined by your employing agency.

The role of Government Employee Housing is to:

  • Manage the tenancy of Government Employee Housing stock
  • Program the construction, replacement and upgrading of Government Employee Housing in consultation with client agencies and stakeholders
  • Identify, examine and report on potential issues and opportunities that will enhance the delivery of Government Employee Housing
  • Provide policy advice to the Minister for Housing and the Department of Local Government, Housing and Sport on matters relating to Government Employee Housing
